Mark 10:13-16

(Mark 10:15)

I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.

How did the disciples treat children? How did Jesus treat children?

Some parents of children respected Jesus and hoped that Jesus would lay hands on their children to bless them, but the disciples scold them because they saw that Jesus was busy. On the contrary, Jesus corrected the disciples’ mistakes, and taught the disciples that if a person wants to enter the kingdom of God, he must be as simple as these children, longing to get close to Jesus, longing to receive the blessings from Jesus, and believing what the Lord Jesus said, rather than being determined by age, wealth, or degree. Jesus said: “Let the little children come to me!…” and lovingly picked up the children himself, laid hands on them and blessed them, so that they could get what they hoped for.

Come watch the musical skit! Let’s sing and dance together!

It will make you feel so loved!

Laying on of hands:to convey blessings to those whose hands are laid on.

I am grateful that there are many people who love me! Maybe I will also meet people who look down on me, thinking that I am an ignorant, weak child with little money, and it is troublesome to take care of me. But I know Jesus was a child too, He knows how I feel, and He loves children, He likes me to be close to Him, He will protect me! I don’t have to feel alone and scared anymore!

Dear Lord Jesus, Thank you for loving me truly, not by my grades, not by my beauty, not by whether I have money. I want to stay close to you, pray to you every day, and read your words of wisdom. Please keep my heart longing for You, bless me, and lead me into God’s kingdom! Pray in the holy name of the Lord Jesus Christ, amen!
