I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.
Did God want them to recall their past history and describe how they loved them?
The most popular idols of the Babylonians were Bel and Nebo. During religious parades, people often carried idols on the backs of animals. Not only did idols need to be carried and fixed, but they also could not respond to people’s calls, or save people from adversity, and were robbed when they were defeated. And God asks the remnant to recall that from birth to old age, God has always been like a parent, holding them in his arms. He loves Israel, so it can be believed that God is willing to save them. Although they are people who are far from righteousness, looking back at history, from Mount Sinai, God declared himself to be the only Lord, and He had a long-term plan at that time. Now He will call Cyrus King of Persia from the East to accomplish His will. God’s justice and salvation must be accomplished, making Israel his glory.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for giving me parents, protecting and nurturing me to grow up. When I don’t know what I don’t know, you embrace me with care and protection. Please make me appreciate your love more and respond to serve and worship you. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus, amen.
