But my righteousness will last forever, my salvation through all generations.
Who are the people afraid of and forget that God is their creator and protector?
God had blessed the old and childless Abraham with many children, and Israel could expect the same miracle. For God has comforted Zion and will bring salvation. He made Zion into a garden of Eden, full of joy and singing. God will judge all peoples and renew the heaven and earth. His teaching and justice will become the light of all peoples. Therefore, Israel should not be afraid of the slander and insult of the world, for moths will eat them like wool. Recall that during the Exodus, God defeated Egypt and caused the people to walk through the depths of the sea. Now they too can return to Zion, happy forever. God rebukes the people for fearing their oppressors and forgetting that God is their Creator. They need not fear, for they are the children of God.
The moth eats up the reviled world like wool. Let’s see how to maintain cashmere and wool products?
- Walled garden.
- Midge: A collective term for many non-mosquito, small flying insect species of the Longhorn suborder. Insects of the midge family.
- Cashmere: refers to the animal fiber of goats, which is different from wool.
- Rahab: Refers to pride and contempt, and the meaning of riot. It is an alias used to call the country of Egypt. It is the same name as Babylon. They both represent the country and people who were enemies of the elect Israel at that time.
- Describes making a loud noise.
What situations scare me? May God always protect and save me and make me sing with joy and walk in the light.
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank and praise You as the righteous judge and our Savior, who makes me bravely live every day and live in Your love and peace. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus, amen.
