征服者 The Conquerors

Jesus and Alexander died at thirty-three,
耶穌和亞歷山大均死於三十三歲，
The Greek made men slaves, The Jew made men free
那希臘人使人成為他的奴隸；耶穌釋放人得以自由。
One built a throne on blood; the other built on love.
一位以血建立王國；一位以愛吸引萬民。
The one was born of earth; the other from above.
一位在地球上出生，一位來自高天。
One won all of this earth, to lose all earth and heaven.
一位贏得世上的一切，卻失去天上所有；
The other gave up all, that all to Him be given.
一位捨棄一切，所有卻全都歸他。
The Greek forever died; the Jew forever lives.
那希臘人永遠地死了；耶穌永遠地活著。
He loses all who gets, and wins all things who gives.
他失去了他原應擁有的，卻贏得他捨去的一切。

耶穌和亞歷山大皆是古代最傳奇性的人物，兩人相差僅三個世紀，兩人都於盛年逝世，也都帶給後世巨大的影響力。因此不少文學家常以兩者為寫作的題材，以上這篇名為征服者（The Conquerors）的詩詞可算是這類文章中最著名的。
